Most 360 appraisal systems simply report exactly what your raters have said about the person they are rating. Whilst the Wave 360 does this too, it takes it a step further and makes it more meaningful by comparing these ratings with its database of 360 performance ratings. So when your manager has been rated as exceptional, this means compared with how other managers have been rated on the 360 assessment, your manager’s ratings are exceptional.

Validated!

The fact is that most appraisal systems have never been validated.  There is an assumption that they are reliable and valid.  Professor Peter Saville recognised this and developed the 360 Performance Framework as a strong competitor.  It was developed within a validation centric framework of competencies that were gathered through questionnaires and focus group meetings with the world’s top organisations. Whilst the competencies assessed within the 360 might not have exactly the same label as your own, we are confident that the system will assess your required competencies.  This is because the competencies were defined and tested by top performing businesses worldwide.  Furthermore, research was undertaken by Saville Consulting to assess the predictive ability of the competencies.  The results were impressive and we are happy to forward them to you if you wish!
